The Midwest Food Connection is seeking a half-time teacher to present lessons on healthful foods, cooking, and gardening in Twin Cities elementary classrooms.
Start-date: September
Salary: 15,500-17,500 for 10 months, 20 hours a week

Primary Duties
- Learn to use an established curriculum
- Teach an assigned number of classes each week as guest speaker
- Ensure all necessary teaching materials are prepared for classes
- Maintain existing teacher contacts in Twin City area schools
- Collaborate with teaching team to improve and revise curriculum
Qualifications
- Teaching experience with elementary or middle school-aged children
- Professional appearance with ability to project friendly, outgoing image
- Experience with growing and preparation of healthful foods
- Ability to provide transportation to and from schools, stores, and meetings
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work out of home office
- Knowledge of global culinary traditions (preferred)
- Teaching license (preferred)
